Named Storm Melissa formed from a low pressure area in the mid Caribbean. This storm will be moving generally west northwest for a few days, but is forecast to be steered north to northeast, crossing Cuba, then across the southern Bahamas and into the central and north central Atlantic. At this time, Named Storm Melissa will not be affecting the US. However, we are monitoring the progress of this storm for any projected track changes.

Named Storm Jerry – 2025 formed in the Central Tropical Atlantic from a tropical wave.
This storm is forecast to make hurricane strength in a couple days, but the steering currents will be moving the storm northerly and then northeast, away from the US east coast. Therefore, this will be our only mention of Named Storm Jerry – 2025.
