Named Storm Beryl – 2024 – UPDATE June 30

Named Storm Beryl has made Hurricane strength and will continue to strengthen as it moves westerly through the Caribbean.
Current international tracking models are showing a high probability of a western Gulf of Mexico involvement in roughly a week.
Persons primarily along the western and northwestern Gulf Coast should be monitoring the progress of this storm carefully.

Named Storm Beryl – 2024

Named Storm Beryl formed in the east central Atlantic from a tropical low pressure area. This storm is about 700 miles west – southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands and is moving generally west. The tracking models of this system currently shows generally westward movement through the central Atlantic, Caribbean and possibly the southern Gulf of Mexico in about a week. We will update with unofficial information as needed.

Named Storm Alberto – 2024

Named Storm Alberto formed in the southern Gulf of Mexico from a Tropical low pressure area. This storm system will move generally westward into and across Mexico. Since it will not be affecting the US to any great degree, especially in Texas, this will be our only mention of Named Storm Alberto. South Texas residents should be monitoring local NWS forecasts.
