Named Storm Ida – 2021 is developing and intensifying in the Caribbean. This storm system is moving northwest at 12 to 15 miles per hour and due to the fairly fast movement, not much time remains before it could start affecting the US Gulf Coast States. Persons in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and northwestern Florida should be monitoring the progress of this storm very carefully. Named Storm Ida – 2021 has a high probability of becoming a Hurricane by this weekend. Most worldwide tracking agencies are showing this system making landfall somewhere between the Texas – Louisiana border to as far east as the Alabama – Florida border on Sunday, August 29.
