Tropical Depression #1 formed in southern Mexico from remnants of an east Pacific Hurricane. This storm is moving northeast in the western Caribbean and southeastern Gulf of Mexico and will be affecting most of Florida in some way over the next 2 to 4 days. Persons in the southern half of Florida especially, can expect gusty winds, heavy rain, high surf and rip currents on the Gulf side initially, beach erosion, frequent lightning and some tornadoes. This Tropical Low may become Named Storm Alex.
