Named Storm Julia – 2022 formed from a Tropical Depression just off the coast of Venezuela in the Caribbean. This storm has the potential to intensify fairly rapidly and will be moving generally westerly making a landfall in northern Central America on October 9. If this storm stays on it’s current path, it may cross over into the Eastern Pacific, however, several international tracking models are showing a slight northerly shift and possibly getting into the southern Gulf of Mexico after Monday or Tuesday October 10-11. We are carefully monitoring the progress of this storm and will post additional unofficial updates as needed.
