Named Storm Julia reached Hurricane Category 1 strength just before landfall in Nicaragua early October 9. This storm has been steered more west southwest over the past 24 hours and if it survives going over the mountains in that area, it may emerge in the eastern Pacific. Since this storm no longer poses a direct threat at this time, to the US, this will be our final post on Named Storm Julia – 2022.
