Named Storm Philippe – 2023

Named Storm Phillipe formed in the central Tropical Atlantic from a depression. This storm will be encountering upper level shear which will keep it from rapidly intensifying. The steering currents will be moving this storm initially northwest, north of Hispaniola, and in a few days, it will be moved north away from any US coastal areas. We are monitoring this system, but with track projections as they are, this may be our only mention of Named Storm Philippe.
