Named Storm Gabrielle – 2019 and Hurricane Dorian Update Sept. 4, 6 AM EDT.

Tropical Storm Gabrielle formed in the east central Atlantic from a Tropical Depression. This storm will remain in the Atlantic moving generally northwest, then north and will not pose a threat to the US coast. At this time, this will be our only mention of Named Storm Gabrielle.
Hurricane Dorian continues to move northerly along the east coast of Florida and Georgia. It will start to move north-northeast later today and will be affecting the coastal areas of the Carolinas through early Saturday. Persons in coastal areas from Jacksonville, Florida to the Outer Banks should be monitoring Hurricane Dorian carefully.
