Named Storm Epsilon – 2020

Named Storm Epsilon formed from a non-tropical low pressure area in the central Atlantic. This system will be moving slowly northwestward and may make Hurricane strength within a few days. Early tracking models are showing continued northwest movement in the general direction of the New England Coast, but a cold front moving off the US East Coast will start moving this storm more northerly and then northeast and off shore along the Maritime Provinces of Canada. If this storm continues northwest and increases forward speed before the cold front picks it up, there could be some US interaction. Persons along the US Coast from New Jersey to Maine should be aware of this storm and monitor it’s progress. We will update unofficial information if needed.
