Named Storm Eta formed off the Caribbean coast of Venezuela from a tropical depression. This storm system is moving generally westerly at this time and while many tracking model agencies are projecting that this system will be affecting eastern Central America, a few agencies are showing a possible turn to the north, where it could affect Cuba and southern Florida. We will post additional unofficial advisories as needed.
