The National Weather Service has issued preliminary advisories for a dangerous weather event developing along the Gulf Coast of the US.
A warm front will be forming in Oklahoma and north eastern Texas when 3 low pressure areas merge over the next couple of days. This system is forecast to bring severe weather to Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia over the next few days. Persons in these areas should be monitoring this developing storm system very carefully for local advisories, watches and warnings.

2023 Tropical Storm and Hurricane Season Ending November 30.
The 2023 Atlantic Basin Tropical Storm and Hurricane Season is ending November 30, 2023.
This has been a fairly average season and our volunteer staff will continue to monitor things well into December in case a rogue storm happens to show up.

Named Storm Tammy – 2023
Named Storm Tammy formed from a tropical low pressure area east of the Lesser Antilles in the central tropical Atlantic. This storm may reach hurricane strength but the steering currents will be moving it northerly away from US coastal areas. This may be our only mention of Named Storm Tammy – 2023.
